My tongue in cheek way of thinking is that if my other half comes through with a suitcase full of dried fish then it is only going to be for her own personal consumption so no duty would apply. Plus which customs officer is going to rummage around amongst that lot? Same as the trick of leaving some well used socks and underpants on the top, inside the suitcase.
my wife loves mango--she grew loads back home...but--she prefers to eat them unripe--still quite hard. so most in shops are rejected. shes not keen on chocs.
I love the green ones with shrimp paste chocs vs. indian mangoes (green mangoes)? i would always choose indian mangoes
In the past I have had Honey Mangos from the Philippines, India, Pakistan and Peru I think. All were very nice indeed. But my partner ears green mango dipped in salt for example. I bought some green mango ready sliced, when I was in the Philippines the first time, but spat it out as naively I didn’t realise it was unripened.
Yeah! Up till then unripened fruit was never considered, as I always thought the idea was to wait till they were ripe! Though a few years earlier I had tried fried green tomatoes which I have to say were very nice.
Asawa loves green mango with salt. I also tried it but my teeth started hurting Dried mango and proper ripened mangoes for me na. Really nice. Mango float.. no thanks, waste of a good mango.
haven't tried fried green tomatoes. Will try one day. We love sour things thats why we love green mangoes. Well, there are ripe indian mangoes too. They still have green peel but sweet when ripe.
I don’t know. Probably my sensitive teeth didnt like eating rock in larger amounts than normal? Mango and ice cream, hmmm. Do you like to dip fries into ice cream too? Something is telling me yes.
