No ,honestly ,I'm not making fun of them , I love the way they pronounce some words . My girl and I often laugh about each other's words . You should see her laugh at the way I pronounce some Filipino words haha . It's all part of the fun of dating a Filipina . We teach each other lots of new things . She doesn't say open or close the light though , like some others I've heard . I have to say I have more laughs with her than any English girl that I've dated , and neither of us take offence to the language pronunciation differences , as I said I love it .
Lots of interesting info on there about the cost of living in other countries . On my travels, I often chat to ex pats , mainly American , who have re located from the USA . One of the most common things I hear about is the incredibly high cost of dental and medical treatment there . Something, I suppose , become more important to you as you reach retirement age .
Same here. My hubby and I laugh at each other's words too. Sometimes I tend to correct his english and he would say, "I'm the English man here and that's my language. Are you correcting my english again??" Since Fils follow American english, sometimes your english appears/sounds wrong to us. My hubby says I'm following the wrong english. I'm guilty of "open or close the light" phrase You're not alone. My hubby said he smiles and laughs a lot more now with me than his English exes. And I'm glad he does feeds my ego
Haha my girl does that all the time , and it always makes me laugh . Is that exclusive to Filipinas , I've never seen that anywhere else ? Yes bigmac , mine is an "on the light " and " off the light " also . You've gotta love em haha .
Yes. But she seems to have stopped it now. I know an Englishman that does that too after spending time in the Philippines. I have tried it too but it’s hard to get the bottom jaw that far forward. LOL
Australia, though I don't have a spouse yet. Hahaha. I've lived there for five years and finished university there as well. The weather is nicer than the UK and people are generally more honest (though can be rowdy/rude but I'll take that anytime of the day than two-faced liars.)
