so we’ve been waiting 31 working days at the moment.. I’m aware it can take around 60 working in normal circumstances. But I’ve received nothing abouslty nothing from them in communication. Just a simple email from them saying they’ve received it. Or just any thing. Now I’m thinking do I bite the bullet is to drop them an email and pay the eye watering £5.60 or what ever over priced crap it is..
I would wait, you will only get a standard response that you probably wont find of any use, I know its an anxious time but try and chill a little over it
If I remember it right, you hired a lawyer for this purpose. Since you paid/paying him, then he must do the follow up.
Yep we did. I’ll speak to him I think regarding this. Gah it’s stressing me out so much this waiting game.. no matter how much I keep my self occupied.
As others have said, relax. I have been through it and know that any niggling doubts that one has are amplified, the longer time elapses without hearing anything. I used to take comfort in the fact that statistically we had a high chance of success.
Is it worth them sending you a simple email saying they've received it. When they can make £5.60 from you, just by waiting?
I'm inclined to agree with the responses so far @court95 - you will get nothing of any use from their extortionate telephone/email 'Help' channels... We are currently on (working) Day 47 of the 'looooong wait'... Papers were received by UKVI on Day 14 (as notified by Royal Mail), but not acknowledged by UKVI until... Day 31. Nothing whatsoever since then! (as expected)
Ye bloody annoying I’ve got the Royal Mail tracking, just no acknowledgement from them. We are on 33 working days. I wish you all the best on your application.
hello. I've applied for the fiance visa (non priority), and have been waiting 55 working days currently! I will email them for an update past the 60 day mark.
Sorry, I think im confusing the situation! I mean I am still waiting for the decision. Day 11: I did get a letter when the docs were sent back, that they have processed it. Day 21: Received an email stating its 'being prepared'. Nothing since then. UKVI are getting busier. On the Gov site that gives you predicted timings, for the 60 day mark, in Feb it was 70%, and it dropped to 60% in Mar (applications from Manila)
Thought you haven't received confirmation email/letter yet. You can email them for update. But you can wait for 70th working day.
