Someone may have already mentioned this but, our understanding is that you wont get the sticker unless the vignette is valid i.e. i wouldn't go before that date. The councellor should have told your wife this at the GCC. I only mention it because i think we had our decison a day or two before you and our vignettes are not valid until the 12th. My wife is therefore going on wednesday and not tomorrow (Tuesday is a national holiday). Mr G
Yep my wife told me that she can’t go until the visa is valid which is this coming Wednesday but that’s a really good point for other to know.
Well as you pointed out, its the british govt who has examined that application. The ph govt doesnt know anything about a pinoy going to the uk - its their last attempt to prevent organ/sex/drug trafficking ‘foreign husband’. I was also very hesitant when i went there (i was overseas for more than 8 yrs so i should know better right?) but it was actually enlightening. The CFo told us that in some cases a husband/fiance had not informed the pinay partner that they have had at least 3 pinay ex wives. Or that at least 2 pinays before the current applicant has ended up dead for no reason. Or that some pinay ended up as sex slaves, or drug mule of their husbands. All because of the exit record via the CFO. Or it can be a simple as telling us that there will be cultural difference that we have to talk with husbands in cases of money being sent to their parents or siblings in pinas - some husbands are okay with it, some aren't so dp you deal with that? So if you are in a genuine relationship, then you dont have to worry about anything. And treat it as a way the govt looks after their ppl because pinoys have always been a target by opportunistic people who take advantage of our very trusting nature.
