https://www.rappler.com/nation/unvaccinated-people-metro-manila-prohibited-going-outside/ Got a family member who just flew to Manila today to sort a land title out, Davao airport was eerily quiet....

Yeah there is no way that the cases are all Delta, over 37,000 today, this is almost certainly Omicron, they are not sequencing enough as I said elsewhere on here Jim I think my kids have got it again and I think it is Omicron, they are all almost over it now, they caught it last week, it's exploded in Metro Manila it will be 10 or 20 times that number of real infections per day.
Here ya go https://www.rappler.com/nation/philippines-quarantine-rules-travelers-arriving-abroad-january-2022/
Yeah having read that in full now it is basically no change, we all still need visas and we still need 5 days quarantine plus 2 at home, I still can't travel.
Davao might be going back into lockdown, political rallies aren't helping in other parts of the country.
Check-points all over town manned be the army. Need to keep mask on even in your own car, Vax cards required to enter certain buildings. Now if they can stop the gatherings (fiestas, karaoke and such-like. Not holding my breath on the last sentence.
They have a cheek coming out with a statement like that the USA has a worse Covid problem than the Philippines has right now. The Phils case rate is way back down again, yes we know it's not a realistic number but for those that can afford to be tested it is at least representative of Covid levels in that cohort. Granny tested negative in hospital two days ago but she has pneumonia and we are all really worried, every one in the house was sick 3 weeks ago but we thought everyone had gotten over it, I thought at the time that it was Omicron, but it might have been some other virus.
