I think if you can go and be with your wife whike you wait would be a far better idea. I would have done the same apart from I cant leave my business that long. Its not nice having to part just after getting married and then spending months apart. ..not the best way to start a marriage but then when you get through this it will make your marriage bond all the stronger I feel. Lets hope they clear the back log soon and start delivering their advertised priority times.

Well thats a change...they were advertising settlement visas at max 12 weeks before ie 60 working days....so now they are saying double that??? They have got to be having a laugh

Yeah even when we applied on June 2nd. Priority was advertised for 10-15 days. What a joke not getting what we paid for its not like its cheap to pay for priority like £50 but £560!

That's the same email I got when I asked them regarding the status of my application. Have you tried tracking it again?

I don't think yours will take more than 60 days Matt P. I think it's only for complicated ones. That's the exact email I received before but decision time took 59 working days for me. It's just the waiting of the passport being released that's a pain. You'll hear from them soon I'm sure.

I just check my visa app and it says decided so hopefully i have it soon fingers cross xx

May i know if your application is priority ? I submitted mine 22th of June and I am now anxiously waiting.

I have been following some other forums where most of the applicants are from US and it seems like Sheffield is finally clearing the backlog (at least it seems like it for those who applied from US)

I applied stndard route its my 60 days today but they updated the application july 11 and when i checked last night it says decided. Im really delighted hopefully its a big yes xxx

Mine have not arrived yet nor have not received an email from them. I rang UKVI yesterday and was told it was posted Tuesday 4th July). The lady said I should get it within 10 working days and today is the 8th working day so I'm anxiously waiting for it. IF I don't receive it on Tuesday next week, she said to call them again so they escalate it which means I have to wait 15 working days to hear from them.

@Mrs_Oggy I'm going to pick up mine in vfs cebu once they email me hopefully next week. I am more nervous now than before but hopefully everything will be fine xx

May I know how the US timeline is looking in terms of clearing off the backlog?

It is around 25 Business day for the end of May to early June applicants. But i suggest you to have a read at talk Uk Yankee - Permanent Priority Spouse Visa. It does seems like the backlog is cleared as of now.

However please note that this is the US timeline, and if you do notice from the thread, applicants who make their applications other than the US are processing at a much slower pace. So may i know where you applying from?

Awwww it seems like you are one of the lucky ones because i have heard some other non-priority applicants have waited much longer than that!
