IELTS skills for life A1....just how difficult is this test

Some of this is about the impresion you make also, be chatty and confident. I think Mica spent most of the time expalaining how nervous she was. She probably passed on that alone.

I have been an IELTS examiner. So long as you can ask and answer two to three simple questions with another candidate, and follow a simple listening you will be fine! My fiancee felt slightly sorry for the other candidate as she misunderstood the question my fiancee had to ask mentioning 'countryside', a rather Anglo word and concept. The Youtube samples are quite true.

Correct. Only if you haven't had entered the UK yet. But still be valid when it was already been accepted in the visa application process. Mine expired in 2016 when I applied for my 2nd FLR in 2017.

My fiancee took the A1 test only a few months ago and hated it. She was convinced she failed because the examiner made her feel uncomfortable.

Her English is pretty good in my opinion. Sometimes she struggles with syntax, but her vocabulary is amazing. So I expected her to pass.
