it is lolz. so easy to learn the english langauge but when you hear the english people speak the filipino dialect and accent..takes ages to twitst the tongue
At my age in life my happiness is very simple. I only need:- 1. A nice modern nippa style house situated close to the ocean. 2. Internet access so that my Philippine travelling plans can be accomplished 3. Good enough health to enjoy my travelling plans 4. Enough money to live simply, to provide the education of the able members of our family, and also to achieve my travelling plans. 5. The company and the smiles of my wife and extended family I'm sure I'd like some more but just right now can't think. Maybe later. My travelling 'bucket list' is still far too long, and every now and then I do re-prioritise.
Ah! I knew there was something else I need and want and love. The object of my desire........................................................................... 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO , but only in red please, please please Obviously left-hand drive otherwise can't ship to Pinas
Lovely car, my mate owned something similar and certainly an outright insanely crazy vehicle, 4 point something litre engine, not quite a Ferrari but still exceptional and very pretty. He took me out in it once and scared the living daylights out of me and at the time I owned a very good modern sport car but it was nothing compared to his monster, here are some pics :- The guy is an airline pilot and completely mad By the way it's a classic Sunbeam Tiger
As for what I want in life Well it's simple I want my family with me here in the UK, after that all I want is to work hard for at least 8 years then retire.
Nice idea Elley but you must realise already that the British are mostly terribly bad at foreign languages
of course i am fully aware of that OSSY same as asian/filipino terribly bad in foreign/english langauges as well:shock:vamp::badpc: if you know what i mean
Every Filipino I have met speaks at least two languages and they do their second language far better than I have managed with Tagalog. My one weakness, I am terrible at human languages Absolutely brilliant at computer languages but human ones the only O-level I failed was French didn't even get an E grading, which was great because it didn't appear on my certificate so it looked like I never sat the exam everything else was straight A's
We lived in Japan for many years, but I really struggled to get to grips with the language. My wife was fluent in speaking, reading and writing. I could get by speaking but nothing else. I put it down to the fact that the official language in the office was English, and most everyone else wanted to practise their English on me. Of course the better my wife became the more I left it all to her. For me, I learn better if I'm forced to do it just to get by. So I think I must add learning Bisaya and Tagalog to my 'wants' list. Maybe even go to proper classes. If you can communicate in the local language it makes for a much more enjoyable and interesting life.
