Hello we are applying for a 1st time visit visa and just wondering if scanned copies of me (the sponsors) documents would be OK? I've herd my girlfriend needs to provide originals but it would be so hard for me to send originals to her from the UK so we have scanned letter of invitation , passport etc and my bank statements etc in colour would this be ok?

Yes usually a scanned copy would be okay for a visit visa. That’s what I did two years ago when I applied and I know many people now who are applying for tourist visa and only use scanned copies from the sponsor.

Hello my girlfriends mother is going to write a supporting document to say she has strong ties to her home country and she helps out in the family business do you know of any examples of this I could look at ?

I don’t know any template online but you should be able to construct on your own.

Google" Visa supporting letters" will give you some ideas.

Personally a letter of support from mother is not going to help! ECO may just decide well she would write that to full fill her daughters wishes
