hi my name is mymy...been to uk last 2012 for bout 5 mos. on a family visit visa together with my son... is it true that it would be easy to be approve a same visa the 2nd time... Also will be planning to apply my sister, her husband and son also a family visa coz we'll be celebrating my mom's 50th bday this coming may who is in uk with ILR visa...thank you guys and we'll be glad to hear some response from you...
Generally speaking I think the answer is Yes. The UK border official will look at the fact you were in the UK before and left before your visa ended, but with the addition of your other relatives I don't know.
Welcome to British Filipino mymy Although there are no guarantees, you did come and go on your last visa (I'm assuming that visa was for 6 months and you were here for 5 months). So if you didn't overstay, left as you said you would, this should strengthen your application for your mothers 50th birthday. I don't know if it will have any bearing on your sisters and her families applications, but so long as you all have reasons to return back to the Philippines (jobs, businesses) then I can't see there being a problem..
Gud eve...thank u so much for the warm welcome and positive answers....rest assured that we're all coming back hir in phils coz our kids' school will start on june so there is no reason for not coming back home...would that be a good reason? Thank u and btw me and my son stayed in uk for almost 5 mos coz he was just 2 yrs old back then and he didn't go to school yet so we have plenty of time to spend wid our family before..
I think the fact you need to return for School would be as good a reason as any. Personally, I think your chances are very good.
might be good to submit your applications together as a family and present the usual documents required. As long as you don't over stay, have reasons to go back to the Philippines, can afford the trip or have a sponsor then you are most likely getting a visa
