visa accepted BUT!!!! If you applied from outside the UK When your leave is granted, you’ll be issued a 30 day vignette. The vignette is valid for 30 days from the date you said you’d arrive in the UK (even if you arrive at a later date). You’ll have to apply for another 30 day visa if you don’t travel within that 30 days. Your decision letter will tell you: when your BRP will be available which Post Office branch you can collect it from You must bring your passport or travel document with your vignette when you collect your BRP. You should also bring your decision letter. did not recieve the letter which i take it would have had the MUST USE BY 30 DAYS WELL I BOOKED TRIPS TO HER PROVINCE etc and book a holiday for me then our return trip to uk so knew nothing about having to use it within 30 days or the biometric card from a post office but although it says you can extend the 30 day visa it does not say how wherte who you apply to extend it HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS, AND KNOWS HOW TO EXTEND THE VISA
its spouse, we got the spouse visa ok but did not relise you had to leave in 30 days, so booked to go her home then a break for us takes us to 42 days
Have you checked your junk mail? Sometimes emails from UKVI can go in there. If no email then maybe try emailing them?
Somebody else was asking about this length of time. Timmers, there is the answer. 30 days from the date the visa was issued from / date the applicant said they would arrive in the UK.
yea i see that but does say you can extend or apply fr another 30 day visa but omits how to where to or with who
just a thought that seeing it is a new rule out in march and i applied in feb , maybe thats why no letter and the 30 day rule about using the visa does not apply
she is going to get the cfo till i saw the visa thing, but i am thinking its a new rule, only about since march, i applied in feb, so thinking why we did not get a letter saying what post office to collect the brp from , is because iot does not affect us as we applied before the new rule was implemented
yes--i raised the question in connection with Jumil's thread. but it doesnt seem right to me-----30 days to pack up and go-???-after all the applicant could have been waiting weeks or months for a decision. what about serving out notice in a job for instance ?
nooo-- i think this 30 day business is for immigrants with FLR to be able to leave the UK for a holiday or trip without it affecting their FLR.
I was and still am confused regarding the OP, there is an answer to your question, I read about it ages ago and it is certainly more than 30 days. I have read on an application somewhere a question asking why you could not travel using the visa in the allotted timeframe. I think if you have a valid reason then the visa can be put on hold under certain circumstances. For example, if a family member was sick and you couldn't travel, things like that, I'm sure I have read about this somewhere. I know it doesn't help you much bigmac, I will try to find some information out when I get home in a couple of days.
I seem to remember there is an expiry time. But cannot be sure. I would have to dig through my old emails. Trouble is the ruling may have changed by now.
I think it stands to reason there will be a cut off time but I do not know how many days/months and if it can be put on hold under certain circumstances, I'm pretty sure the latter stands if you have problems at home that prevent you from travelling, I'm positive I have seen that somewhere.
I read somwhere that someone wanted to delay their departure by 3 months. She contacted the embassy in Manila and they called her in and changed the dates for her.
according to the HO web site, this does not coming in to effect until may 31st 2015( Phase 3) are you saying you that you have been issued a 30 day visa already?? if so I would contact VFS global manila or the British embassy, to make sure, its the correct visa has been issued, VFS, have made mistakes in the past.. or email them.. you need to quote visa GWF number ManilaVisaEnquiries@fco.gov.uk https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa...544/BRP_International_Rollout_Schedule_v2.pdf will
