And we have to wait till tomorrow to find out if the visa has been issued! I know that VFS tend to issue this same email in the Philippines regardless of the outcome. But for today, I will be bricking it
:england: "****e Spake" IMO Don't they know which centre it is.? "visit the UK visa application centre where you submitted your visa application" "where you can collect the same" THE SAME WHAT??? ... Application ? VISA?, WTF, it is planned to cause frustration Whatever happened to the "Plain English campaigne".? http://www.plainenglish.co.uk/about-us.html Tex received her "Fiance Visa" 31 days after we applied in Manila. It arrived at her home in Leyte by "special delivery" courier. Tom
I cannot see anything going wrong, and can foresee, your Mrs, spending money at the Trafford centre well before Crimbo..................
Well, Joy can't sleep... And I have a feeling I will struggle to get any tonight as well (but I will try). Whatevwer happens, come 6am tomorrow morning I will be up, showered and eagerly sat with my phone!
It probably will be good news. Yes, first port of call after bringing my wife through UK Immigration in Manchester was the Trafford Centre, for some winter clothes.
Cricky, that is relatively quick. Not sure if I'd be thinking that it is a good or bad thing. I've seen some quick no decisions of late but also some getting approved. IIRC wasn't your only issue the question of whether or not they'd take into account the lowest pay rate on the previous 6 month payslips? To me, that looks like it will come down to the discretion of the ECO involved. Hope you have got someone sensible!
Exactly.. Until between 6am and 7am in the morning I will remain hopeful but not overjoyed with the quick return. They've not asked for any clarifications on anything so I hope that is a good thing. I've worked it out to 32 working days since we applied, hopefully you will get your decision soon. And here's hoping it is a good one! I sent in a years worth and chose category B, given each month I do often earn less than £1,550.00 but I get overtime and bonuses that pick it up. We will see if my strategy worked as the application form is terrible and I think designed with the intention to confuse.
Yep, I'd be leaning towards the positive on that front too. If you were only just under the minimum on that payslip, I'd expect an e-mail looking for further clarification. Again, depends the ECO I suppose.
Evidently the answer to this is that VFS have issued the message to Kuya's wife and VFS themselves have no idea of the outcome, just that a decision has been made. In our case we only received that very same message but my wife still got the visa. We never did get a message from the UKBA to say that her application was successful, so she only found out once she got her passport back.
Yep, worth a shot but by the letter of the rules they could well just ignore that if you've been with the same employer for the past 6 months? Again, I just hope you have an ECO with a brain because I think it ever got as far an immigration judge, they'd lose!
Good luck! Hope all is well and you get the visa. after all the help you have given to me on here, I will be hoping for you that you also get yours I'm travelling there on Monday lol
I logged in especially to see if you had heard yet. I see you logged in at 6:40am today, so why no news?
Visa Refused:f: The ECO blatantly refused to even consider my overtime or bonuses and simply looked at my gross pay before any of these. This will go before a judge and not just some ECO with poor math skills and a god complex.
