I just renewed our children's UK passports... You don't say how old the child is or where you're applying from - Philippines ? Also note it is YOU they must have known for 2 years not the child. Anyway in simple terms: You upload a photo of your child. You give UK Passport Office the email address of the "person" who will confirm the child's identity UK Passport Office then emails that "person" and asks them some simple questions and asks them to confirm the identity of the child in the picture

You need to send the originals - so take a copy before you send them. Your documents will be sent back to you by normal post, but you can pay an extra £5 to get them sent by secure delivery. Choose this service on your application if you want to use it.
