    I just spotted this on Ambeth Ocampo (The Phllipines equivalent of Sinon Schama!) 's facebook page. It's the menu for Christmas dinner given by the Philippines Ambassador to Japan this year, and it looks to be to be just about perfect,

    Bob Couttie (see fish and chips thread) remarked that he was surprised to see what looked just like parols hanging in Kampot, in Cambodia, which led him to conclude that the origin of the parol may connected to Chinese culture.

    We should have articles covering Easter and Halloween / All Saints Day as well, I think.
