You've never been to the Phils, paper toilet paper is non-flushable you will be told off in no uncertain terms if you try to flush toilet paper, there is a bin provided specially for its disposal
in days of old---when knights were bold......and paper wasnt invented they'd wipe their ar5e on a piece of grass--and walk away contented.
There is a discussion about it => here on Thaivisa < The difference in mains water temperature between Asia and the UK means that on a cold winters day you might be blasting your ass with icy cold water. A special valve must be fitted to stop flow-back into the mains supply. Tiled bathroom floors are obviously better than carpets and wooden floorboards.
Interesting that someone mentioned about the legalities of them in the UK, wouldn't put it past the UK to have silly rules
nooo--not silly. in the UK mains water is meant to be potable--drinkable. so rules are there to stop some idiot contaminating the supply through wrong connections.
Most flat head shower roses, these days, have an adjustable paddle setting that will concentrate the flow to the centre of the rose, that way you can wash your bum with hot water, needless to say you won't be doing this while sitting on the toilet In Asian style wet bathrooms and loos these things could be a good idea but here in the UK I honestly could not see me enjoying freezing cold rivulets of water running down my legs after taking a dump
in our house in the Philippines the master bedroom toilet has an automatic bum spray just turn the knob and it slides out from the back of the toilet then the water jet. the rest of the bathrooms have a T fitting to the toilet feed water that goes to an armoured flexible pipe, the spray head has a push button for spray. seems better than the tabo, no more wet toilet seats. don't know where they came from as they were here when we moved in. I am impressed with the toilets here they seem to use very little water and always clear the most enormous dump, which in the UK would have been a partial blockage, and the wife moaning an using umpteen litre jugs of bath water to clear it. and a lot more moaning in Tagalog when I tell her its womans work.
