    How much are they in the Philippines? I asked my wife but she seemed unsure. Probably because her Uncle runs a farm and their are heaps of buko trees there. So they just take them whenever they want to.

    2.45/0.36 = 6.8 times more expensive in Britain.

    Yes. Exactly. Especially as my wife says they dont taste the same as back home. For me they tasted the same.

    Anyhow, here they are hard to come by at any price. They are a nice touch, now and again.

    Yes. I mentioned that the buko is free way back August last year when I was still in Cebu because there are a lot of coconut trees in my aunt's backyard. :)

    Yes its a coconut but when it is young and before the meat inside goes hard and double the thickness..
    The juice is sweet and pretty much an energy drink.

    Coconut water is actually sterile, and has been used as a substitute for blood plasma.

    Anyway, I am partial to it.
