We married in Manila and have arrived in uk after horrendous visa problems.
However we are trying to change my wife's passport to have my name and also her sons.
Can we do this from the uk?
    Is there any pitfalls?
Also the son is of a previous relationship could this be a problem.
Hopefully we can sort it out with your advice
    Cheers

Hi @Geoff h! You need to go to the Embassy of the Philippines in London to process the renewal of passport to show your wife's married name. Here is the website - http://londonpe.dfa.gov.ph

I recently got married in the UK and will attend the consular outreach in Liverpool so we can report our marriage, renew my passport, and use my husband's name in it.

Why do you want the son to have your name if you aren't his dad?

As the father of a child that no longer lives with me, I agree with @Maharg on that one. I would be very unhappy to find that my son was using another name. I would leave well alone with the son's passport if I was you.
