whats next now that i passed my test? i am aware that ILR ..as currently i got a spouse visa which will valid until 29th of June 2012 of next year.. so whats the exact date that i should apply for ILR?? as i wanna be sure of course
Hi Balot, So your FLR visa has an expiry of 29 June 2012 The qualifying period for ILR is 24 months living in UK (Maybe your FLR was originally issued for 27 months?) You are able to apply for ILR 28 days before the end of the qualifying period. Just for example, if you began living in UK on 29 June 2010, then you 24 months qualifying period would end on 29 June 2012. The earliest that you ILR application is allowed to be made is 28 days before 29 June 2012. So that is 1st June 2012 When did you begin living in UK?? That is the key date, not necessarily the FLR expiry date.
Oh, Balot better start saving again here are the current fees:- ILR by Post = £972 ILR in person = £1,350 After 12 months (2013) you can then apply for British Citizenship Naturalisation (UK Citizenship) = £836
my friend i arriveD in the UK 20th of May 2010 last year thats the date that hearthrow immigration stamp on my passport upon arrival(visa issued to me was Spouse visa ..been married in PH for 3 years before i decide to come here in the UK...
The earliest date you can apply for ILR is 22 April 2012 (28 days before 20th May 2012) However, the latest date you can make your application is 28 June 2012 (before your current FLR expires)
