Hi everyone, I am April. I am new here and wishing to meet new friends near my place so we could easily meet up some time. I am already here in the Uk for a month and half already but I still have no friends...poor me...hehehehe.

Hello April I am sure you will find a few friends on here, even if none of them are near you. I am in North Lincolnshire but that is about 150 miles away. I guess you came to UK to work?
Hello April, welcome here to the forum. I haven't been to Bedford for some time, but always used to be quite a vibrant Filipino community. I know there's a Filipina lady who sells all kinds of food. It can often be a real struggle for new arrivals to UK. It's often the case that you don't find such a busy social network, especially these cold dark winter months. Try to be patient and you'll gradually find good local friends. You might try the local Catholic churches, or even local care home and hospitals. Often the notice boards there will have some details of contacts and meet-ups etc Good luck April and enjoy
Hi Howerd, how are you? Yes, you are right..I can create few friends in this forum although they might be far away from my place. Actually I came here to marry and be with the man I love. If granted with the FLR soon, I shall work to be able to help him and build our life together.
