Appling for UK VISA Settlement Wife and Stepson

Hello all, we have started to complete the online part of the application at www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk
what is not clear to me is, do we need to complete one for both my wife and my Stepson?

yes--2 separate applications. 2 lots of fees.

One of the questions is : Is this your first Passport? Ans : No
The only problem then is it asks for the previous passport details including number which she doesn't have, she says that the previous passport was kept by the passport office when she applied for a new one.

any ideas ?

I think I've just answer my own question.......

from a drop down selection box I just picked : Retained by Passport Office
and it seemed quite happy with that, didn't see that before I asked

Hi, if she knows the details about her previous passport (Passport number, issue and valid date) then its a YES, where is the passport just explain it was retained by the passport officer, but if she don't remember those details no point declaring it so its a NO... hope it helps....

Another Question:

As we are applying for my wife and stepson at the same time,
from reading other posts.

1. I presume I send my documents to Sheffield for scanning?

2. I also presume I'll only have to submit my documents for scanning once, and that will
cover both applications

3. Do I need to complete 2 VAF4A_Appendix2 (I think so, Just checking)

double up everything. separate application for each person.

So does that mean I need

2 Certified copies of my passport
I only have one Original council Tax bill
Original Company Documents to prove my income I only have 1 of everything ie, Dividend vouchours, Payslips

or can one pack be Copies?
