Yesterday evening a German tourist arrived at Terminal 2, Manila, on a Philippine Airlines flight from Beijing where he works as an executive for a telecommunications company. Before passing through Passport Control he paid a visit to the public conveniences and upon emerging, he came across two uniformed female BI officers one of whom he grabbed by the hand and he touched the other's backside. The officers reported the incident to their shift supervisor who arrested the German, refused him entry into the country, blacklisted him and placed him on a later PAL flight to Beijing. In the press report the BI supervisor said the German violated Philippine Immigration Laws for disrespecting a uniformed Immigration Officer and he commited a sexual offence. It is worth bearing in mind that if you cause offence to any Filipino, that person can report you to the Bureau of Immigration and you will be arrested and deported at your own expense. You may also be blacklisted which means you are barred from re-entering the country for up to ten years and in some cases, permanently.
In this case something like that is well deserved, lucky he didn't get chucked in jail for a while for abuse. But we have also to think that such attitude will empower any Tom, Dick or Bong-Bong to make spurious claims aginst someone that probably only looked at them or have a grudge against, for any unfathomable reason.
I wonder if he would've done the same had he landed in his own country, I suspect not. Probably couldn't wait to get to a bar and pay the fine!
Whoops. According to LinkedIn and Xoominfo, somebody with the same name, and age is Chief Representative at Deutsche Telekom China, based in Beijing. Impressive CV!
If they are one and the same person then he may be about to become the former Chief Representative. Regardless, his ability to travel has been adversely affected by being deported and he'll very likely not be admitted into any ASEAN country and may well have serious problems in obtaining a visa to enter certain other countries such as Australia and the United States.
How about this chap here....... "A fan who allegedly groped the Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland has been charged with indecent assault, Australian police have confirmed. Ms Hyland, widely known for her role as oldest sibling Haley Dunphy in the award-winning comedy ABC series, was posing for a photograph with a fan outside a venue in downtown Sydney when the man is said to have groped her chest. The 23-year-old actress immediately alerted private security guards, who called police to the scene." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/p...yland-groped-by-fan-in-australia-9146520.html
