My wife lives and works for a family and there is a young girl that lives with the family as a domestic. 18yrs old i think. Whilst on skype chatting with wife, the girl enters room crying and talking about bf trouble. Then discover she has heard demons and tried killing herself earlier by drinking mosquito repellant! So alerted wife to seek repellant bottle and read warning. The young girl has also written a suicide note. Wife awakens house owners and they take girl to hospital. The Hospital do nothing! stating she is processed! Seems repellant is DEET and neurological agent. Wife is looking after bosses children. It seems the young girl has a bf and 4 friends written in letter and girl. No one knew about bf , just discovered messages on her mobile. She just wrote about horrible event (no detail) and sorry to her mother. I think the girl had been drugged earlier and guilt has caused her to try and commit suicide. It staggers me how a hospital can do nothing and think of possession by demons, i put into question such a hospital. The girl has now been taken to another hospital, yet to hear what is happening. Hopefully the girl will pull through and get through this ordeal. I hope the guys are found and established what happened and if guilty spend the rest of their life in prison!
The latest news is that a 'healer' has attended to her The healer said the girls actions was due to witch. This is really bizarre. Witchcraft? Surely its some form of hypnosis? Well, the girl is calm and ok. Family looking after her. Scarey to see what happened.
it now transpires that the girl went to see a fortuneteller the fortuneteller said that serious miss fortune will be fall her then later that night 'all hell happened' It must be a case of hypnosis I now can see where the idea of witchcraft existed in medieval times.. I've old mrs to stay well away from such persons and tell the girl that never go near too its proven no good comes from it Its sick, people praying on the vulnerable of coarse the girl thinks fortuneteller was real, because what happened, but doesn't realize the fortuneteller was the cause!
i've met the girl and is sweet and demure last night was like a feral child but think she is now in shock by the looks of it no idea if she really drunk DEET or imagined it maybe the 1st hospital had a way of knowing? its a times like this you establish limitations in english language to figure out exactly whats happened?
I have some idea of what you mean from experience. Filipinos and perhaps especially Filipinas do live in a world where "spirits" have a reality for them. On the second of this month practically the whole nation spent the day picnicking in graveyards, in order to share their food with their dead. Also worth keeping in mind that drug taking is very widespread amongst young Filipinos - particularly "shabu" which people take to keep awake and to stay thin but which is in fact methamphetamine, and which will trigger paranoia.
I think, that girl need to visit a phyciatrist....I am a filipina too, but not a believer of fortune teller or anything like that.Yes, it's a part of our culture, specially in some provinces. That girl needs someone,she can talk heart to heart, I think she's depressed and in trouble.i hope she will be back in reality soon.
