Anybody coming to Barrio Fiesta this weekend? I am confused as I see two events on the same dates but different locations. Which of the two is more fun?

Some went to lightwood park in Sandwell last year it was OK! Doesn't seem to be a lot of response for going this year and meeting up as a group.

    If you go enjoy.

Yeah, last year it was a blast. Real good time was had by all.
The ladies met new friends, lots of chika chika,....

I am sorry I could not do anything this year, as work is in the way for both of us.
And today, after taking the car for an MOT, I was told that it needs some serious surgery on the rear suspension arm and front roll bar bushes..
After having been shown the damaged part, I realized that going to Yorkshire for work, next week, could be kind of risky.
I will be getting a lift for the next few days, as my garage is busy and they also have 2 mechanics
on holiday at the same time....... Smart indeed...
So, left the spare car key, withthe man in charge, and he faithfully promised to pick it up himself from my place on monday/tuesday and have it sorted for when I return.

Its a no for us as well.

He is looking forward to seeing a music festival (with kasabian among others) this weekend. Plus birmingham is more than 3 hours drive from glasgow.

    Photos please!

Well. My family and I are sitting on the grass at the Sandwell fiesta at lightwood Park. It's somehow not as busy as I expected. But it's pleasant enough. The pork bbq I had from the catering tent was proof that Filipinos can make bad food here too. But it stung worse because it cost me twenty quid. Ah well.

Strange to have two so close to each other on the same date. I admit to being a bit disappointed I was expecting something bigger. Currently watching an unending talent competition and praying for rain. Wife is happy though.

I gather there used to be one. And then there was a fall-out in the people who run these things - so they split off to do their own version. That's why there are two now.

I went to the Sandwell one along with a few others on here I found it ok but not really enough to be enthused about going again this year. Needs more work I think.

What it also needs is a beer tent and it doesn't have one. 2 hours drive for me including being tailgated twice by a retard in a slow car once on the way in and once on the way back. I think I'll have a bath.

    Please do. ta.

Given half a chance, we will probably organise something at one of them. We could use the same hotel.

The main purpose of going to a Barrio Fiesta is to help the wives and girl friends soak up the athmospere , meet new people, make new friends to add to Facebook/instagram/twitter/ whatever.......
Chika-chika....... chismis..... Secrets......... Selfies galore......... Show off the latest flip-flops by chanel/boss/michae kors/fossil...........

A pint or two, in the bar, in the evening, wash off the dust and the weariness of the ordeal.......

I thought so too. Nice to put faces to members here and hear their stories of how they arrived here at BF. Decent days of weather and the primary goal was for asawa and the kids to enjoy themselves which they did.
