There are a few different ways to accomplish the task and I'm sure others will reply with their experiences. For us, I paid and booked my wifes flight with Emirates. There is a need to prove and present the credit card with flights coming from certain countries, Philippines being one of them. As we have an Emirates desk at Manchester airport I visited and showed them the card in person, they then updated their system to flag that the credit card does not have to be presented when checking in. Good luck :)

I booked K's flight on PAL using my card and emailed her a scan of the card along with the e-ticket. Worked fine.

None except that you will probably get a better price on line - K checked travel agents in Manila and they wanted to rip her off...

Same limitations in that they want confirmation of the credit card in certain countries. Airlines seem to have a country blacklist for credit cards.

    The more information, the better.

Scanned copy of card and passport marked "Authorised for use to pay for ticket for..." and signed by yourself.

If flying PAL get her enrolled for the "Mabuhay Miles" frequent flyer scheme, you can do it online, and then link her flight ticket to the MM account. Being able to show her "Mabuhay Miles" card at checkin will be an added reassurance.

Understood and that may well be legitimate but bear in mind that the transaction will be originating in Pinas which may well make more of a red flag that the card is uk based and the origin of transaction is in Pinas. Like i say im not 100% sure but just worth noting.
