My love is a bit of a poser sometimes :) by the way that is our wonderful Nanay in the background at the start.

Sorry about my inane comments on this vid I can't even work out the difference between sand and sea :D and sorry about the quality, I'm a photographer not a video guy :)

    Long time ago August 2006.

We had two suites in that hotel all the family were with us, this was the day we were leaving, I had never been up that early when the tide was so far in.

Also my love even now has still to be reminded to keep her finger off the lens :D

It is rarely that quiet and empty, that's what's special about that clip for me, weekends are hectic in Boracay but this was early morning on a weekday in the off season.

There are a great many parts of the country I would love to visit but sadly I've only really seen the touristy parts, we have been up north in Luzon a bit and down to Nasugbu Batangas and also been in Cebu and on Maktan island once but clearly there are so many more places to visit.

Palawan is a place I would love to see, some truly spectacular scenery there.

This is not my photo clearly just a publicly searchable one on Flickr.

oss, I enjoyed your video. Stirred some great memories for me.
I was surprised to see the tide quite that high also.
2006 eh, basically the shoreline vista hasn't changed so much. Well, maybe a few more boats/yachts etc

I've never been much of a video-taking fan in the past, but looking at the very latest shirt-pocket ultra-lightweight camera's with pistol grip, HD capabity, image stabiliser and vast digital storage I'm begining to gain interest. Oh, underwater capability too.

This is the sort of gadget I mean:-

    Panasonic HX-WA10
    Upright HD Camcorder
    3-Meter Waterproof
Full-HD Video Shooting with BSI Sensor
    16-Megapixel Still Image
    12x Advanced Zoom
Always Optimal Settings with iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode
    Easy-to-hold Vertical Design

Nice. But still pricey just yet

Sadly, it seems to be the trend these days to slag-off Boracay for all sorts of reasons.
Whereas I can understand some of whatever gets said, I still really love the place and the whole unique atmosphere.
Even I've been many times now, I still rate it very highly for a long weekend destination. :like:

Yep,I do agree a little hard on the eyes. But still enjoyed.
You need to be careful with handheld videocam.
