New thread because it has nothing to do with the election.

Glad to have her, along with - certainly in my constituency - a good many other people who have always been either Conservative or Labour and who have reluctantly left their party because they can see the national catastrophe that is shortly to occur.

What is notable is that these are party activists - of course, we don't know what the ordinary voters are thinking until we canvass them - but we suddenly have many more experienced canvassers, tellers, etc.

Rachel Johnson joining the Lib Dems is about as relevant as my sister joining them, many families have differing political views.
