British English words that America have yet to nick

    Here is one for you.. Can you think of English words we use in any given day that the USA has yet to pick up on?

    These can be colloquialisms as well...

    Mate (as in friend)
    Boot (instead of trunk)
    Lead (instead of cord)
    Chav (Low class person)
    Daft (silly)
    Numpty (Idiotic person)

    Slash - as in pee came from USA , not uk. I remember it on beavis and butthead!
