    Hi all,

I haven't been on here for a while, tbh after the stress of arranging our marriage in the Phils, the subsequent spouse visa and the unexpected pregnancy that came along very soon after my wife arrived here paperwork was the last thing on my mind.

Anyway, i have read a few posts and i i ha seen quite a few new members, so good luck to you all.

My worries are that we may not have enough examples of us living together i.e. the six letters in joint names. I didn't want my wife to have the responsibility for the bills etc.
Howeve we have lived in two houses and the tenancies are in both names and the council tax shows both of us.
What are your thoughts please? Is there anything we can do?

Also, apparently, we should have changed my wife's name on her BRP to reflect her married name. We left everything as her maiden so it all matched.

Quick update...we have a lovely daughter nature sure does pick the best qualities from both parents, that is why she is beautiful haha

    Keep safe,

Regarding the 6 pieces of evidence, they can be a mix of joint and individual (e.g. 2 in joint names, plus 4 EACH in individual names - we included store loyalty cards, no problem) as long as you have a total of 6 for each name.
I would guess you can use different addresses if you have moved in the interim - others may have more solid advice on that - but include an explanatory cover letter.

Regarding the change of name, I have seen differing advice on here. I think if you change one - i.e. passport - you should change the other to match ASAP. I do know there is a fine to pay if you don't register the marriage with the Philippines within 12 months, but don't know how much it is. The cost to register the marriage, according to the Philippines embassy website, is £23.

my wife hasnt changed her surname to mine--every thing is in her former married surname. we got married 3 years ago. she recently renewed her passport at the philippine embassy. staff queried why she hadnt changed her name--but it wasnt an issue.
