Hi greenwichms and, assuming you're not a Man Utd supporter, welcome - just kidding :)

Perhaps you could provide a few more details about the carer position:
    Country?
    Location?
    Rate of pay?
    Hours of work?
    Holidays?
    Social Security?
    Other benefits?
    Contract of employment... ?

i best not let my wife see this--she might apply--thats a higher rate than she gets for managing a care home

London rates I guess, also it’s the norm certainly for the jobs my wife looked at for one on one care to be a higher rate.
Think many be come companions as well as carers.
Hope they get a positive response

I do think its what my wife will end up doing. She has an elderly friend in mind.

We don't know how many hours they're expecting her to work/be available for or per week and what deductions are to be made for accommodation...

Working in London is fine as long as you can afford to live there...

Not so nice if you cannot.
