BUTUAN CITY, Agusan del Norte – A Cebu Pacific plane bound for Cebu got stuck in mud at the edge of the runaway at the Butuan Domestic Airport as it prepared for takeoff around 10:35 a.m. Saturday, the local aviation office confirmed.

The aviation office said Flight 5J-220 failed to take off, its front wheel stuck in the soggy ground at the edge of the runway.

All 106 crew and passengers were safe and were transferred to the terminal, the report added.

As a result of the incident, all flights to and from the city cancelled as the plane obstructed the runway and had yet to be removed.

The airport here handles at least six domestic incoming and outgoing flights daily.

    I liked that one John

Got everyone's attention which I assume is what the airline intended.

Should have the dancing on every flight, except the ones where there are lots of nancy boys as stewards, don't want that.

    Good one.

Talking about sexism and lady pilots, I once worked in Israel and the company I was working for put us up for a few months on a kibbutz (not spelt right) and I use to converse with a El Al lady pilot who lived there. She had a chip on her shoulder about her application to be a British Airways pilot turned down, she told me it that she thought it was sexism. I said to her that you either did not meet their criteria or that there were security concerns about a British carrier employing an Israeli, as in someone could have used it as an excuse to blow the plane up etc.
