Hi, I'm currently in the fiancee visa process with my partner. We are going to be getting married in the UK (I'm the BC/Sponsor, he's Filipino) and I keep finding conflicting information on the CENOMAR. We are ready to submit our application next week and then I heard that he needs a CENOMAR... However the UK visa application doesn't state that he needs this. He nor I have been previously married and I don't need to prove this, and yet he seems to need to? Is the CENOMAR to get married in the Philippines or the UK? Thanks~
Cenomar is philppines requirement and don't think we used it when we got married in uk. That said sure we included one in the visa pack but we aimed to put in anything that helped the application (we got married on marriage visit visa and then went back to Philippines to do spouse visa so not strictly comparable.) As Cenomar is a Philippines only document I dont believe it is a requirement for UKVI as there processes cover the world and are not country specific in general. That said if your partner lives near a PSA service centre may be as quick to go there and order one. Know we used one to get birth certificates and could get same day.
thank you, but turns out that to get married in Scotland he does need the CENOMAR. It doesn't appear to be required in England but since we're marrying in Scotland he does need it. I got an email back from the registrar confirming this ) but doesn't appear to be required for the application itself. We ordered the CENOMAR online yesterday so hopefully it'll arrive in the next few days and at least he'll have it for when he needs it.
Thank you. Turns out that need it to get married in Scotland, we received a response from the registrar here. We ordered on online yesterday and should arrive next week so if it's not strictly needed for the application itself and hasnt arrived when we submit then that's fine, just as long as we have it for the marriage itself
UK Passport Office wanted to see mine and the wife's when we applied for UK Passports for our Children...
Passport office has specific requirements for applicants with links to philippines. Think that definition is children born there. They have a guidance document on it as links in on how they treat citizenship.
