child visa app--which appendix ?

looking ahead over the next 6 months--my wife is planning to bring her son over. to settle.

ive had a read through the app forms--and--as usual--confusion reigns.
which appendix will apply ?

appendix 2 i can understand if he had come over with her--but now most of the questions dont apply....so is it appendix 1 ?

your thoughts please.

anyone else done this ?

ignore the above--lol--i just read appendix 1 again--the child bit applies to pre-july 2012 cases.
