Hi, anybody here with experience in getting a Special Child Visitor Visa?

I will be sending my 12 year old daughter to London this coming May for a two-week holiday. She will be staying with my sister-in-law who holds a Business Visa (as such she is always in and out of the UK). I am a bit worried about her getting a visa because (a) she will be an unaccompanied minor (although travelling on Singapore Airlines under their Unaccompanied Minor Program; and (b) my sister-in-law who invited her, is not a UK resident. We have already submitted her application along with the supporting documents (ie our financial papers, etc.) last March 24, but up to now I have not received any word from VFS or the British Embassy. Does it really take this long to get the Child Visitor Visa? My husband and I travelled to the UK two years ago, and 4 days after we submitted our documents and application, we already received notification that our visas could be collected already. My daughter has already travelled extensively (US, Japan, around Asia) and we have given documents that show we fully support her stay there and that there are living and travel arrangements/accommodations arranged for her.

I would appreciate any information from anyone who went through the same process for their kids.

    Thank You!
