    I've been humbled again.
Most of my familiy back home in Pinas already know how I hunt around the shops looking for some decent coffee.
My latest gift from the Philippines is a kilo of coffee called Mt.Apo Altura Coffee. It's from Dizon Farms.
It says on the packet that it's "grown from chemical free arabica beans at altitudes of 1500 mts and above in the rich volcanic soil of Mt Apo"

I'm drinking it now and can say that I am very very pleasantly surprised. My initial guess is that this coffee must be quite expensive.
It's quite a dark roast and and has rich smoky taste and smell.
But it turns out to be a genuine smooth flavor without any real hint of bitterness.
I used a cafetier but now am intrigued to experiment with espresso, and maybe even use for cappuccino and lattes.
Well worth a try, I think, anyway.

Anyone heard of this coffee? or Tried it?
