    Hi everyone, back in May I joined and ask for help regarding a fiancée visa for my girlfriend Haidee how lives and works in Moscow, its been a difficult and costly few months but can now report that the visa has been granted and Haidee will be coming to England very soon, the help and advice I received from fellow members was of great help, But it soon became apparent that we would need professional help so we ended up getting an immigration lawyer to handle things for us, So pleased we did without him I don't think we would have managed to get the visa. there wear so many things that I did not fully understand at that time.

    I have a few things I would like some help with from fellow members if you can spear me your time once more.
    firstly can Haidee travel to any other country's with me during the six months the visa is granted for and before we get married, I would like for us to spend a few days in France and southern Ireland,

    Secondly is there any courses that Haidee can enrolee in, not sure what she can and cant really do or not do
    kind regards to you all

    Good news DONDEE, congratulations, for a Filipina to travel to Europe you would need a Shenzhen visa from the French Embassy/Consulate.

    Regarding traveling to Southern Island its a bit of a grey area, if I was you I would just jump on a ferry to Northern Ireland and drive down into Southern Ireland.

    What kind of courses are you looking at?

    Hiadee is looking to learn things that will be of advantage to her when she is able to start working in UK, She is unsure of what work she will do in UK, one thing for sure she is not looking to just be a domestic, She would like the opportunity of doing something more challenging , she has six months so would like to put the time to good use, any suggestions would be welcomed

    What was her work in Moscow DONDEE?

    Obviously it is easier to follow ones profession, regarding courses, it will depend on her interests and her qualifications.

    There are quite a few distance learning courses available online covering many different lines of work, I did a two year engineering course a few years back but wasn't impressed at all with the support I received, it was a lot more difficult than advertised and I really struggled with it but I got there in the end. There is an example below on a distance learning supplier;

    Hi Dondee,
    Congrats on the Fiancee Visa.

    Your Fiancee will not be able to secure a Schengen visa from the UK as her Fiancee Visa is max 6 months validity means not usually eligible for a Schengen.
    She would however be able to apply for a Schengen visa, say for France, from the French Embassy in her country of residence.

    Ireland is not a member of the Schengen zone. Again, I understand she'd need to apply for a tourist visa from the Irish Embassy in her country of residence.

    On another point she should be careful about doing any work related activities (paid or unpaid) whilst the holder of a Fiancee Visa as working it's one of the limiting restrictions.

    You're right Micawber regarding the Schengen on a Fiancee visa, I need to go to specsavers, I thought I read DONDEEs missus was here in the UK on a spouse visa.

    If you want to travel further afield whilst you good lady is here on her Fiancée visa there are a few countries you could visit without the need to obtain a visa first, she can use her Philippine passport, and either a visa is not required or a visa will be issued on entry to the country.

    The list of countries that are visa free for Philippine passport holders is below, always remember to check the information given before traveling;

    Hello Dondee. @Micawber has given some excellent advice I would also suggest it is better to get married first and get her settled here on a Spouse Visa (assuming that is your intention) before venturing overseas. Having said that, I believe the Fiancee Visa is mutiple entry.
