It ain't............... I cannot believe that still, in this day and age, things like this are happening to innocent children. What I fail to understand is that a Magistrate with years of experience on the bench didn't even consider that what he was allowing to happen, and take part to, was a horrible crime of cruelty to a child that was in pain already.. good riddance to bad rubbish... For a few years anyway..............
And in a few years she will get pregnant again and claim it is her human right to keep the child free from Government interference..
I read the story and cannot for the life of me see any good reason why they didn't seek treatment. I guess we'll never really know what happened and why. The sentences given just don't fit the terrible crime IMO. It's hard to imagine the fear and the pain endured by that child while an intelligent man did nothing. Yep, common sense is just not so common.
