A severe tropical cyclone that's causing destruction to Pacific Islands is edging closer to New Zealand.
Cyclone Pam is now a category 5 supercyclone, the biggest that had been seen in the Pacific in 30 years.

Selfish persons are incapable of loving others, but they are not capable of loving themselves either.

In case it has escaped your attention, the name of this Forum is "British-Filipino" and a cyclone approaching New Zealand is neither a danger to either country nor warrants a warning on this Forum. And please keep your homilies to yourself.

I took the liberty to edit silently your post.

I also would like to take this opportunity to disagree wholeheartedly about any bullying going on.
In fact, I found Markham to be extremely patient in not using a more forceful language to make you understand about posting inane links which are not pertinent to our forum.

If there was any bullying detected, I would have personally dealt with it.
I did ask you to slow down on the posting of stuff that doesn't concern us, as a forum, but you seem to have difficulty understanding our common medium of communication, which is the English language http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language .
Not necessarily the Queen's English http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Queens English .

Can you, please in future, post relevant topics?
not much to ask, is it...??

Thanks Fred, far more relevant to us! According to the Weather Underground chart, this storm isn't forecast to strengthen and it's currently got Samar in its sights. The NE Monsoon will likely prevent it curving northwards towards Luzon. Get yer waders out!

Bloody hell best let the wife know. Things are still shakey in the province since the one before christmas. Beginning to wonder if its worth carrying on building the house but I'm curious to see if I (the family for us) can build a typhoon proof house on a hill.

Since the last typhoon the wife says the government have been there (not offered any aid obviously) and told the villagers not to build houses on the coast, some have apparently moved up near where are which is on a ridge line about 600m from the coast. We'll see what happens

As you say,it doesn't seem to be gaining any strength.. Lets just hope it fizzles out..
Very unusual time of year for the perfect storm.

Erm .... you do know that Pam and Bavi are two different weather systems? Pam is a category 5 Cyclone in the south Pacific heading for New Zealand whilst Bavi is currently merely a storm in the north Pacific heading for central/northern Luzon:
