I want to recommend DHL as the top company to deliver parcels from the UK to the Philippines and of course from the Philippines to the UK. It never ceases to amaze me as I track my parcel travelling through so many countries and covering 1000's of miles to arrive at its destination in just 3 short days. It is a top class service and worth every penny..... On another note, I recently ordered printer ink from an online UK supplier to be delivered to my home address, also in the UK. Want to hazard a guess as to how long this hugely difficult delivery took? ..................
10 DAYS!!!!!!! Yes I said ten!

DHL does seem to be most members' choice. I used DHL to send visa documents to my wife one Friday and they arrived in Cebu on Monday (despite being opened for inspection) It certainly takes the worry out of important documents being delayed.

Yes, DHL certainly ticks all the boxes for getting your all important documents to the Philippines, I've used them three times for sending documents to the Philippines fastest of which was two days when I handed the package in at a main depot in Speke next to John Lennon airport.

The tracking of the packages helps give you peace of mind, I would recommend them to anyone even though I have had one or two work related issues with them.

Yes DHL is the way to go however my only gripe is internal delivery within Pinas. 3 days across the world. From my home to Liverpool on to East Midlands Airport to Hong Kong and on to Cebu in 3 days, amazing. Then 3 days to go 3 miles from Mactan sorting centre to her house!!! I would always recommend delivery to their drop-off points within a mall if possible as even the most descriptive delivery address seems to take ages once the parcel hits Pinas.

Same story here. Parcel left UK Tuesday. Arrived Manila Wednesday eve. Took until Friday to be delivered the last few miles.

You're right, one or two people here on the forum have mentioned that the quickest way is for the loved one to pick the package up at a DHL hub in the Philippines.

I like the online delivery tracking.

Several months ago I ordered a parcel to be delivered to my Mother's house, but the online image of my Mum's signature looked very strange.

Next time I phoned her she told me that she had asked the postman to sign the digital pad for her. :frust:

    (not DHL)

DHL's services to and from the Philippines has improved since it replaced Air21 with LBC as its local carrier. However FedEx can sometimes be both faster and cheaper FROM the Philippines.

As an agency driver for DPD, I can say I am very impressed by their infrastructure; it surpasses DHL and the others by a great margin from what I have seen.

DPD is a French company BTW but I don't work for them, I am an employee of my own company! I just observe different parcel companies.

I have not sent a parcel with DPD but everyone who works for them are under strict time constraints so I imagine customers are happy - the ones I collect from are.

    Where I work now........

My husband sent documents through DHL from Glasgow. He sent it on Monday afternoon and got delivered to me in Dubai Wednesday morning. I sent him documents yesterday afternoon (DHL again) and when I sms him the tracking number, my husband messaged back and said he already got the number as DHL sent it to him.
We are very happy with their service.

I don't think there's staples close to where I live. What they have is a service point in town. Im not sure if thats the same? I can just visit the branch anytime and drop my docs off, right? I dont need to do anything else before going to the branch?

    Thank you.

I've personally only used DHL via a Staples store but I'm guessing the process must be the same/similar. In Staples, you take your documents, put it in an envelope, provide your own address and the address where you want it sent, they print of the delivery note and place it on the envelope, pay the fee, job done.

No worries. :) Just a recommendation for faster delivery, get it sent to a service point in a mall if possible.

My DHL experience was .....first parcel sent from Scotland took 4 days to reach me and was delivered past 6 pm.Second parcel took 7 days and the third took 15 days...stressful one because it contained supplementary documents for my visa application.Parcel was sent Oct .1 and I was very sure I had enough time even if it will take DHL 7 days to deliver.Online application was Oct.4,VFS appointment was Oct. 13....Parcel arrived Oct 15, that was after so many calls done locating for it.MISSED SORTED was their reason.. Check point at Cuba!
Lesson learned: immediately contact DHL office when you noticed on the tracker it has no movement even after a day it was sent.and always give 20 day allowaonce for itfs delivery in case.
