Do you think the EU referendum result will affect visa decisions?

With all the talk about immigration numbers during the referendum build up, now the result is known, what do the members think will be the knock-on affect on people currently waiting for decisions or applying soon?

Both sides have been pledging to cut immigration numbers into the 10s of thousands, when there were over 180,000 from outside the EU in the last year.

And will it affect financial requirements? Just asking.

I think the British Government has more pressing issues to deal with at the moment, we can only speculate as to any changes in the future, I envisage it will become more difficult in the future to gain entry to the UK but it would have been that way regardless of the result in the referendum.

It might take a while to get immigration down, I'm hoping though that people from EU countries who were planning to come here to live and work will have second thoughts, on the same token I hope it does not put professionals off from coming to the UK to fill positions.

Slowly but surely we are making progress with our visa application, my partner is off to Manila soon for her English test.
I just hope we dont see more draconian legislation before we are in a position to apply!

Tricky question given that Dave agreed with you, does Dave mean he agrees that immigration will not be down or is he taking the bet that it will be down?

    Over to you Dave? ;)

The way questions are asked is all important Keith ;) :)

Probably not going to happen, personally I would expect an increase up until the end of the divorce.

It is going to take longer than that to get immigration down to where the electorate feel happy, Keith.
