Earthquake in Leyte yesterday, somewhere in the Tacloban / Ormoc region. My first hand report says buildings down, people killed, and no electricity in the whole of Leyte.

Facebook seems to be working fine though!

Power came back yesterday - think we're being supplied by the NGCP until they fix up Tacloban again.

There were actually three quakes - the 6.5 and 4.6 on 6th July and then a follow up 5.9 on 10th July... I didn't notice the 4.6 as I put that down to an after shock but the other two were big enough to wobble the house - 6.5 lasted about a minute - it's more fun in the Philippines!
