The living in the Philippines section seems to have disappeared so I'll put this in here for now.

So at 03:30 this morning we got a rude awakening as a 5.8 earthquake centred about 5km from our house decided to make an appearance. Its the strongest quake I've been in and a very strange sensation to have everything moving around you when you know it shouldn't be.

No damage or injuries so far, no aftershocks either.

Some reports suggest the epicentre was offshore. In keeping with the subduction zone activity to your west, offshore.

Felt that in Makati as well. Was woken up by it actually. But glad that everyone's safe.

Not seen any of those John to be honest. Everything I 've seen has it out just by airport. Not that it maters, don't want another one regardless. Had no aftershocks either which surprised me
