Hi all, So we're off to NAIA later today to fly back to London together (hopefully!). UK entry clearance visa in place and valid. CFO sticker in place and valid. A handful of relationship evidence including CENOMARs etc, if required. Just doing some last minute research and just want to check: I've only bought my fiancée a one way flight - is this okay? I just read elsewhere that immigration officials still might want to see a return ticket. What's the scoop? Thanks
Oh and also, is there any different procedure for her, at NAIA? I picked up the disembarkment form last time I was here. Which is all completed and ready. So do we just check in as usual and hand the disembarkment form into the immigration officer when we pass through security? Or does she have to to anything different as she's emigrating? Thanks
Isn't the leaving form different from the landing form? We don't need to complete them anymore but Filipinos do.
Excellent, those things were a pain when I had to fill them in back in the old days, I could never find a pen at the 'right' time. (edit: 'tight' was a typo Keith )
A quick update for anyone curious. Check-in staff couldn't care less about my fiancée's lack of return ticket. They asked for her UK ID card - not really understanding the fact she hasn't been there yet. They seemed confused, and just proceeded to issue the ticket. Then the immigration officer acted as though they'd never encountered anyone emigrating before and found the UK entry clearance sticker a riveting read. They also asked my fiancée's opinion of the whole CFO process. No actual scrutiny whatsoever - if there was, it was very subtle. Sitting in departure lounge now. Huzzah
