Employment contract

    Hi guys, Im employed at Waitrose ( John Lewis partnership ) and my employment contract is in PDF format and i can print it off anytime, but it doesn't contain my name ( only refers to me as Partner) and its not signed by either me or a manager..I was thinking of using a PDF editor to include my name and have a manager and me sign the document, what do you think??? I also going to print off from the intranet the pay increases ive had since i started there 6 months ago as ive been recently promoted as more evidence that I work for John Lewis..

    any advice would be greatly welcomed

    I have a letter signed by my employer on company headed paper. It has all the detail on it. I wrote it and he signed it, under duress .

    I hope that will be enough.

    Don't put in altered documents I would print it off and get your manager to do a cover letter of confirmation on letter headed paper. Pay increases they are not interested in its your total earnings to date they will want.

    Use the contract as it is, don’t try to Doctor the file cause if they find out it will just make them look into how many other things are not original. You can ask your manager to sign it. But also get a letter from your manager stating your length of employment and your gross annual wage. But make sure he puts his contact details on the letter. ( phone number and email)

    Thanks for the advice..the way forward is that i will just print off the contract and get a manager to sign it and i will ask him to write a letter to confirm details..infact i will write it for him so there is less hassle for him..i do have original payslips and my bank statements states that i get paid by john lewis..thanks for the advice.

    To be honest i been looking around the office for letterheaded paper , something that has a Waitrose logo or the john lewis logo but to no avail..i think i will have to inquire

    Email them the draft letter - so all your manager has to do is print and sign- managers usually have a template with company letterhead.

    Maley that is such a good idea..all they need to do is copy and paste. Im sure they have a template, fortunately me and my manager get on pretty much ok..so I dont think its a problem from his end.. but the rest of the HR department are close to useless..I will ask him if such a template exists or if he knows of one in the system..
