"Hello, my love, how are you?" I would say. "Hot," she would say. A subtle way of praising herself. Hahahahhaha...
It is bl#$dy hot out here today, everyone is guzzling water like crazy I am finding shade whenever I can It is 34 degrees at 5pm in the Midlands
I'm in Africa at the moment and I'm soaking wet through with sweat, working in an out building, no fun at all
It's quite different Majah as we don't have the same humidity, what we have here now would be closer to what you have in Dubai, although not as hot here yet. And sadly this weather will as usual probably be fleeting here today gone tomorrow. We have warnings of thunderstorms now in the north
I'm in Burkina Faso working in a brewery, horrible working environment, sweltering heat with the permanent smell of hops all around, I quite like the smell of hops but not all day long in this heat Its looks like I've wet my pants when I've finished work, something about that nice warm feeling in your pants We like a good moan, I say we like a good moan about the heat don't we Another moan, I could do with the chaps from Sure Deodorant to come down here and spray one or two of the guys I'm working with, nothing worst than working with guys who all have BO in this heat, turns my stomach Moan over, someone else take up the baton.
You get to some places. Timmers. Just googled it. Middle of nowhere. "Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa around 274,200 square kilometres in size. It is surrounded by six countries: Mali to the north; Niger to the east; Benin to the southeast; Togo and ... Wikipedia" BTW We have thunder here right now.
Its not the most pleasant place I've been to, they took my passport too on arrival because I applied for a visa on arrival, has to be police checked than you collect it the day after, lucky I was only working near the airport for my first couple of days here, I don't like being parted from my passport. I like a bit of thunder, I've just been on the balcony and seen a few flashes in the distance, either a bit of lightening or a bit of gunfire I've managed to dodge Nigeria for the time being stating that a lot of parts of Nigeria the Foreign Office advises against travel thus making my travel insurance void I'm waiting to Skype with the missus, I'll be getting my weather update from her, she is suffering badly from her first UK cold and tickly cough so I'll be hearing a few moans closer to home soon. She is still going to bed dressed for a winters day
That 10c quoted for Baguio will be for the middle of the night. Most of the people there still won't have a clue what REAL cold is...unless they stick their heads in the freezer.
Sounds grim, Timmers, especially if you cannot get upwind Can you get any of those earplug thingies to put up your nose?
That is a great ruse to avoid Nigeria. Went there lots of times and don't want to go back. Also, Timmers remember that more people are killed in Africa from Zebras than Lions, so be nice to the stripy ones if you see them at work
He is adamant that they saw snow there!! Ive pressed him on it 3/4 times over 5 years or so.. He will not change his story!! Lol.
Is your mate a Pinoy? Is he perpetually drunk? Kidding. Has he ever left the country and been to countries with 'real snow'? It has never snowed in the Philippines, at least in recorded history. Hail storms yes, but not snow. And we have a house in Baguio, where our caretaker's family lives. Our family tries to visit there at least once every year. If it has ever snowed in Baguio, we'll all know and it will be BIG NEWS. BBC/CNN big. http://archive.sunstar.com.ph/weeke...ay-essays-snow-philippines-it-possible-328549 http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/nation/regions/07/25/13/snow-philippines-fake-says-expert https://exweirdo.wordpress.com/2013/08/29/is-snow-in-the-philippines-possible/ We are near the equator, so it's not possible.
