    Good day to everyone..........

I just arrived back to Scotland form the Philippines... I got married within a 6 weeks period... No real Drama's... I also have my hands on my Marriage Licence already.................

I guess the first things to is is to arrange the English Test, The living in the UK test and also for my wife's medical......

I just looked on the UKBA website to try and book the English Test and I read this....

How do I arrange all of these things............

    Thanks again ...............

    Kevin,

I am not certain that you can book it. I think it needs to be your wife that books it.

My wife did the TOEIC test with Hopkins in Manila. They are quite good.

How is your wife's English? I ask as they do a workshop for a "small" additional fee - useful if your spouse is lacking confidence etc.

Also, where does she live as that has a bearing?

    Kevin,

I am not certain that your wife will need to take the Life in the UK test for a Spouse visa. I may be wrong here but......

My wife didnt have to. She has since had to take it for ILR but that comes further down the line, once she is here in the UK.

I just was thinking my wife had to do the English Test, the Living in the UK test and also get her medical and for some reason all along I was thinking it was myself that had to do application... So she simply has to pass the English test, get her medical and then apply with all of the relevant documents..... I am a fulltime Carer for my father so I should be exempt from the financial requirement

Thanks a lot for your time, it’s very much appreciated everyone that shares their knowledge

Yes. In our case I was able to phone TOEIC but my wife had to make the booking and pay for the test, which meant a trip into Manila from Cavite, for her just to book it, I seem to recall....but a quick phone call will clear that up.
