Hi everyone! Newbie here and im hoping you guys can give me some tips. me and my family(wife and 16 y.o. son) are planning to have a vacation in london this may. I have already prepared my application and the necessary documents for our general short stay visa until i chanced upon this forum regarding financial capacity(£18,600/annum). I did not see this as part of the requirements. we have history of previous travels, we have substantial amount of money to support our travel, i am emplyed for quite sometime and the wife is in business for quite sometime, we have properties BUT my 6 months payslip is below £18,600/annum. we dont have relatives in the u.k. but our purpose is ourely for vacation. Do you think we have a chance to get a visa? Coz i thought the requirementa for uk visa is pretty straight forward. Hope you guys can help

I think you will find that the £18600 requirement applies to spouse or fiancee visas and not to tourists.
