Hi all I am in the process of arranging to be married next year but I am a little confused of the financial requirements of the 'Family Visa' after the wedding. I read in some quarters that it is me that has to meet the earnings of the minimum £18,600 And I interpret the gov.co.uk website as the person applying for the Visa has to meet it.... Would my wife to be have to be earning in the £18,600 or is it me who has to meet that requirement? Some clarity from you knowledgeable folk would be great Regards Steve

Assuming your application is a success your wife will be able to work once in the UK and contribute to the ongoing visa applications. Good Luck
