    Hello,

I have just joined for the purpose of meeting Filipinos and new friends in Scotland mainly in Edinburgh. I have a couple of short visits to Scotland but now am planning to stay a little bit longer. I am just wondering as I havent seen any Filipino in the street yet. Is there a place where you usually hang out?

    Patience.............

Best place to meet Pinays is normally in Church on a sunday.
In asian stores or even KFC...........

    Hi @Jana.

As @Brom27 said, im in glasgow. I think there are a few who are in edinburgh. Most ppl also told me church is the best way to meet filipinos. Unfortunately, im not christian so there goes meeting fellow pinoys/pinays. The only blessing is that my husbands friends are lovely.

A lot of thai/korean restaurants employ filipinos so any sort of local china town would be a good place. Alternatively, A+E. Usually some fabulous nurses on duty

A&E for sure but that's a place what we want to avoid, good point though, I took aged parent to A&E a while back, I honestly couldn't take my eyes off a Filipina I saw there, she had just started her shift and was putting her hair up, smashing :)

I think perusing the internet for local groups is the way to go as a couple of the boys have posted earlier in the thread.

Some Filipinos love to meet up with their fellow countryman and I cannot blame them, others like my wife are not really bothered, I'm everything she needs :)

As long as my wife is in constant contact with her kids she is happy.

As long as they are happy then that's our main concern, I wouldn't like to be in a situation where my missus wanted to meet up with other Filipinos and couldn't find any :)

If the girls are happy then we are happy.
