    Hi all,

I fly out to manila next month to finally meet the girl i have been talking to for the last 3 months or so. i understand we must take lots of photos together in order to start the fiancé visa process. The whole thing looks like a minefield. I have seen a few agencies advertising online, do this work? Anybody have any idea how long this all takes? any advice welcome.

Hi Emmit, great to hear your going out to the Philippines to meet your friend, yes photos will support any visa application, its early days for you both yet so I would meet up and see how you get along and decide on your way forward once met!
A lot of members are in wonderful relationships having followed the same path you are about to embark on, however we have had some instances where by the cyber couple were not in real life what they offered online, tread carefully and take your time, you will be embarking on a long term relationship that is costly and lengthy in process.
If you progress the relationship I would not bother with agencies there is a wealth of genuine experience on here to help you the process from Fiancee visa to British Citizenship (if that's the aim) will take about 6 years give or take and crude maths probably in excess of £10k with visa application costs, travel, and other sundry costs! from scratch to fiancee visa probably in excess of 12 weeks for completion and application and getting a decision on the application.
But for now get out into the wonderful land of the Philippines enjoy your holiday and meeting your friend and take it all from there.

Hello Emmit and :welcome: here :).
I agree with the other comments here.
Enjoy your vacation there (your name sounds American!) and don't contact agencies.
