I need help. In Malaysia she can come here on a tourist or marriage visitor visa both cost £80 as opposed to Philippines wanting £845.
However she must return after marriage and apply for spouse visa.

I plan to fight this injustice.

Can anyone help me bring her here

My health is poor l need here and she is very worried and wishes to help me

    Hi James,

Visa costs to the UK are the same whether they be applied for via Malaysia or the Philippine, I gather.

Am not sure if it is fightable.

When My wife and I decided we wanted to marry, i thought I could simply fly to the Philippines, marry her and then fly her back to the UK. Little did I know. I had a shock when I realised what hurdles lay in the way. And there was no way around it. So I had no choice but go with it.

There is a much more palatable route, financially, but it involves living in Europe for 6 months and that doesnt suit everybody.

    Welcome aboard.

John is correct I am afraid.
Visa costs are the same regardless of where one applies from.

The European route is far easier and virtually free of charge, but it entails working for a few months in an European Country.

Visitor Visa means exactly what it does.. Visit........... To depart before expiry, simple. And it cannot be changed once here.

Europe on the other hand has a heck of a lot more friendly approach to NON EU partners of EU Nationals. In fact it can be a doddle if played right and correctly.
More and more Brits do turn to the Surinder Singh Way to Family Re-unification, as the normal channels are way too expensive and difficult.

    In short............
